In November, three of our young men graduated from high school, making a total of 16 to graduate since we began the Micah Project in 2000.  We are very proud of Oscar, Pedro and Marvin.  Even at a young age, they are men of vision and character.  We are very excited to see what God will do in their lives in the years to come!

Oscar, Marvin and Pedro graduated on November 7.   Over twenty friends came to Honduras from the States to celebrate this amazing event in their lives!   Each one is the first in their extended families to graduate from high school!

Oscar receives his high school diploma from Michael Miller as the Micah Project board of directors applauds his achievement.  Oscar hopes to participate in a Youth With A Mission program next year.

Pedro and Marvin not only excelled academically this year, but also musically.   Both sang songs from their album "en el proceso" during our graduation ceremony on November 7.   It was very powerful, on their graduation day, to hear in their music the story of how God pulled them out of dark and tragic situations and made them into His disciples!

The newest generation of Micah boys presented a skit at the graduation about life on the streets.  Here, Marvincito remembers his days as a street kid as he cries out to God for help.

The newest Micah boy, Hector, had surgery in November to remove an infected pin from his leg.   While living on the streets, Hector had been hit by a car.  After having surgery in the hospital, he never went back to get the pins removed from his broken leg.  They had gotten bent and infected, and one was even beginning to poke through his leg.  He is happy to finally have the pins removed!

After graduating, Marvin Morazan accompanied Rebecca Haver, John Bell and Michael Miller to Houston and St. Louis for a few days.   It was a very exciting trip for him!  Marvin did a great job representing the Micah Project by sharing his testimony and singing at several different events.  Above, Marvin shares a song with the children of First Presbyterian Church of Houston during the children's worship time led by Mary Alford.  Below, Michael and Marvin smile with Olvin Funez, one of our first graduates who is now studying at the University of Houston.

After Houston, our little group of travelers headed to St. Louis for a few days.  Above, Marvin Soto, John Bell, Marvin Morazan and Becca Haver stand by the Mississippi River on a very cold November days!  Below, both Marvins stand under the St. Louis arch.  Marvin Soto, one of our very first graduates is a senior this year at Missouri Baptist University.

Hector enjoys the zipline during a Saturday outing to a park outside of Tegucigalpa.   It's amazing to think that this little boy was living his life on the streets just three weeks prior to this day!
