July 2006 Photo Album
A visit from the past! This picture shows Pedro (front row, second from left) and Jose (second from right) in 2001, when they were just coming off the streets into a program for street kids. See below to understand the awesome transformation that God has brought in their lives! |

Left to right: Jose, Jerson, David (Micah neighbor), Pedro and Marvin have produced an album of music that retells the story of the difficult yet miraculous lives. The above poster reads: "Hard to Forget: That is the crude experience that these ex-street boys retell in this, their first production. Now, these restored young men use their great talent to help us understand, through unedited rhythm and lyrics, the gratitude they feel towards God for what He has done in their lives. No one had to tell it to them. They lived it themselves." |

| Becca ministers to two street kids in front of a Popeye's restaurant in Tegucigalpa. Both boys were high on yellow glue when we came across them on the streets. Whether it be restaurants like Popeye's or society in general, these boys are literally "on the outside looking in." It is hard to believe that many of our young men lived in much the same way as these two boys. This year, we have renewed our weekly ministry to the children on the streets. |
| Oscar was our fifth young man to move to the United States to begin his college studies. In July, he packed up his things and headed up to begin soccer practice at Missouri Baptist University before beginning his freshman year. Here, he says goodbye to his tearful yet proud mom in the Tegucigalpa airport. |

| It didn't take long for "The Three Musketeers" to add a fourth member! Our MBU sophomores, Olvin, Tino and Marvin, show Oscar around St. Louis upon his arrival. Here they visit the Museum of Westward Expansion, located under the Gateway Arch. |
| We hosted two youth groups in July from Houston and St. Louis respectively. Here Edwin supports one of the groups in their "child painting" activity! Edwin lives in the Leadership House and is a freshman at UNITEC, a technical university in Tegucigalpa. |
| Becca Haver's parents visited us in July and invited our young men to the newest attraction in Tegucigalpa, a water park. Here, they hang out on the "beach" and wait for the wave pool to get turned on! Can you identify who is in the lineup? (Miguel, Juan Carlos, Jessica, Marvin, Pedro, Roger, Darwin and ...?) |
| The new church in Villa Linda Miller has been up and running now for six months. Pastor Jeony Ordonez has been doing a lot of work to bring in families from Villa Linda Miller and the nearby city dump. Here, Jeony's daughter Vanessa leads the youth choir at the church during a Sunday morning worship time! |
| In addition to pastoring the church at Villa Linda Miller, Jeony continues to direct the ministry at the city dump. Here, he takes a few minutes with some young men at the dump to fly kites! This year, his program at the dump has seventy children in daily classes. |
