June 2004 Photos

In May, Darwin became a carpenter's apprentice three days a week after school.  Here, he works on new cabinets!  He is very good with his hands!

Marvin, 19, is the oldest "Micah man."  Along with Tino, David, Olvin and Jarvin, Marvin will graduate from high school in November.  He is thinking about going to college in the States!  Please pray for him and the other seniors as they make these important decisions.  Check out our Scholarship page for more details!

Jose (red shirt) is on a soccer team, which practices every day after school.  He is a very disciplined player and an excellent goal scorer!  Here, he practices dribbling with his team.

Freddy (holding plate) is surrounded by children from Villa Linda Miller!  He and the other boys spent a week in June assisting a medical brigade from the First Presbyterian Church of Houston.

Pedro takes an after-lunch nap during the medical brigade!  After a couple of especially hot days, a short siesta seemed like a great idea!

Micah missionaries Becca Haver and Erin MacLean pause for a smile before dinner.  They work very hard to provide a warm and caring environment for the Micah boys.  If you are interested in volunteering in 2005, please write Michael Miller at micahproject@hotmail.com .

Medical brigade member Mary teached Tino how to take Jerson's blood pressure.  Do we have a future doctor in the making?  See the Medical team page to learn more about the week!

Miguel (black shirt) visits his step-brother and sister in a recent visit to his mom's home.

The Micah boys spent a relaxing day on the Pacific coast of Honduras in mid-June.  Amapala island, in the gulf of Fonseca, it a great place for a day of R & R!
