| We had the privilege of spending a few
days with some folks from the Central Presbyterian Church of St. Louis,
Missouri. These folks have been supporters and cheerleaders of the
Micah Project since we first began to have the vision for the
project. It was awesome to have them back in Honduras so that they
could celebrate our ministry with us! Here, they take a break
while walking up a steep hill to visit Micah boy David's house.

Another special Honduran holiday in September is Children's day (doesn't that sound like a good idea?) This year, will celebrated Children's day in the at Villa Linda Miller, at the city dump, and at Marvin and David's houses. Here Micah missionary Jeony Ordonez leads the children of David's neighborhood in a game in front of David's home. David is in the white shirt and his mom is in the red skirt.

The Micah boys take a moment to pose for a photograph in a bamboo forest which is part of a national park in Tegucigalpa. On the bottom row, Jose, Darwin and Jerson smile while Freddy stands with a neighborhood boy at the top.

The remodeling of the Leadership House has begun in earnest! Our first big job was to rip out all of the plumbing and replace it with new pipes. Here, Micah boys Pedro (left) digs out the plumbing on the Leadership house patio alongside of Tony, a young man from Villa Linda Miller. It looks like hot work!

On Independence day, we enjoyed the parades that take place in downtown Tegucigalpa! Here, the Micah boys stand by an honor guard which is marching out of the national stadium. The Honduran flag (center) has two blue stripes with a white strip in the middle, containing five blue stars.
