We started a new school year in late January. Our five oldest boys are now in tenth grade. Marvin and Cristino, pictured here, begin the school year by reading "El Cid," and epic poem along the lines of "The Odyssey."

Some of the boys also began music classes in February. Here, Pedro and Jose receive beginning guitar classes from Wilmer, our music teacher. Wilmer is also directing our boys in a "men's chorale" this year. We'll let you know when they have their first concert!

In February, the Micah boys began a new ministry with street kids. Every afternoon, the boys go to a soup kitchen to meet with 20-30 children. They lead the children in games, songs and Bible activities. In March, they will start a home-schooling program with the children so that they can begin to receive a formal education. Most of the children have never been to school. This program will be a huge challenge for our boys! Above, David introduces an activity to the kids from the soup kitchen. ~ February, 2003
