Although Pedro Luis joined the Micah Project formally in January of 2009, we have known him for many years. He is the younger brother of David, one of our older participants who has been a part of the Micah Project since 2000. Pedro Luis (we also call him Pedrito, or little Pedro) lived with his family in one of the poorest neighborhoods of Tegucigalpa before the Micah Project built his mom a home in the Villa Linda Miller neighborhood in 2006. Even though Villa Linda Miller was a much better environment for him to live in than the shack he lived in, we decided to move him to Micah due to certain influences in his home. |
