During his October visit to the U.S., Michael took Tino and Olvin to Chicago.  It was a nice break for them after their first couple of months at Missouri Baptist University!  The guys spent the day touring downtown Chicago.  It looks like Tino is about to be blown away in the Windy City!

Jeony, the coordinator of our ministry in the city dump of Tegucigalpa, takes a minute to pose with some of the children in our educational program at the dump.  This year, our school has been held on a soccer field across the street from the dump!

In early October, our graduating seniors took a trip to Comayagua, the first colonial capital of Honduras.  Here, they stand before the colonial "Catedral de Santa Maria".  The tower of this church was completed in 1680.  The clock in the tower is from the year 1100 and originally hung in the Alhambra in Spain.

Becca went on a home visit with David in October.  Here, she poses with David's siblings, Jahira and Pedro Luis.

The Micah guys went to a local public hospital to visit Tony, a young man from the Villa Linda Miller community who has been a friend to many of our guys.  Tony had a diving accident in May which left him with a permanent spinal injury.

In late October, Michael and Becca took our older guys to Copan for the annual Project Honduras conference (www.projecthonduras.com).  At the conference, our five graduates received the first-ever Youth scholarship from the Project Honduras and Special Missions Foundation.  On an afternoon off, we visited a hot spring near the Honduran-Guatemalan border.  Here, Michael and David take a steam bath near the sulfurous-smelling water!

David, Jorge and Becca take a horseback ride in Copan while there for the Project Honduras conference.

As part of the Project Honduras conference, attendees had the chance to read to local children in the central plaza of Copan.  David and Danilo took some time to teach the kids a couple of songs!
