Hector

We have known Hector since June of 2007.  Even as an 11 year old at that time, Hector had a severe addiction to yellow glue.  Hector's childhood was very difficult after his mom was killed in a car accident when he was still a toddler.  His dad was unable to raise him, and he was quickly absorbed into street life.  Hector himself was run over by a car in 2007.  When we found him, the pins that had been placed into his broken legs were bent and infected.  We tried to get him into the Micah House at that time, in June of 2007, to help him through his surgery.  However, his addiction to yellow glue kept him on the streets.  Through the perseverance of our street team, we slowly built a relationship of trust with Hector, and he finally entered the Micah Project in November 2008!  We are very happy to have him as part of our family.  To read more about Hector, read our December 2008 letter by clicking here.
