| The long-awaited day finally arrived on November 10! The young men pictured above surmounted overwhelming obstacles, such as abandonment, parental alcoholism, street life, hunger and poverty to become high school graduates. For more than one of them, they are the first to graduate from high school in for several generations in their families! In this picture, taken in front of the hotel where the graduation ceremony was held, you can see the joy in their faces as they celebrate what God has done in their lives! |

| Over two hundred people arrived to help our young men celebrate their graduation! Amazing: these boys who were among the forgotten children of Honduras were literally surrounded by friends and supporters on their big day! |

| The Micah Project worship band debuted at the graduation ceremony! They led the entire audience in a powerful time of worship. The worship team consists of Danilo as the lead singer, Jorge (our Mexican volunteer) on the bass guitar, Daniel on acoustic guitar, Marlon (our Leadership House coordinator) on keyboard, his wife Nohemi as backup singer, and Dan Paul (hidden in the background) on drums. | Micah Project friend and board member Bill Marshall hands Jerson his diploma. What a proud and unforgettable moment! |

| Houstonian Susan Chapman also made graduation night very special with her presence! Susan came to Honduras a week before graduation and was a huge help to us because of her willingness to do whatever necessary! Certainly, Erick will never forget her support of him that week! Also, Susan brought Jarvin, one of our first graduates, who is currently studying English at Houston Baptist University, so that he could help us celebrate as well! |

| Olvin entertains the head table with his graduation speech. We have a policy at our graduations: everyone is valedictorian! Thus, they all get to give the valedictory address: that was one reason why the graduation lasted three hours! |

| The cake: "Congratulations Micah graduates" |
| Mary Floye and Mary Alford (the famous Micah Project Marys!!!) share a meal with Jessica Busse and the rest of the Micah Project on our patio during graduation weekend. |
| Long-time Micah Project friend Bob Bewley was another special guest at our graduation! Bob took all of the graduates out to a dinner before the graduation. He gave the grads lots of good advice for the coming years in their lives! |

| Our guests who came to Honduras for the graduation got a tour of Tegucigalpa's market district on Saturday. Here, the guys accompany Lauri Deniakos, who served as a missioary for the Micah Project, and her mom Susan through the market. Everyone was very happy to have Lauri back for a few days. Below, Micah missionary Becca Haver and visitor Becca Herbold check out the Christmas items at one of the thousands of stalls in the market! |

| Above: Micah
friend Mary Floye Federer also came to Honduras for graduation.
Here, she and Micah missionary Jessica Busse
visit Tony out
at the Villa Linda Miller project. Tony suffered a severe
spinal cord injury in a diving accident two years ago. Below: Micah co-founder Aminah Al-Attas hangs out with Danilo, one of her best Honduran buddies, during graduation week. Aminah came to Honduras with her new husband Nate before heading to the Virgin Islands to be chaplains at a resort for the next six months. Aminah helped plan the Micah Project in 1999 and served with us in 2000 and the beginning of 2001. |
