Oscar Amaya

Oscar began to study with The Micah Project in February 2005 and became apart of the project in June 2005.  Oscar grew up in Ceiba, on the north coast of Honduras, until he was 15 when he and 2 of his brothers came to Tegucigalpa.  A year after his mother died, when he was 9, he moved into this group home and lived there for 6 years.  Oscar is in the front row in the grey shirt.  His 3 other brothers are also in this picture.

Here Oscar is on the northern cost in a town called Rio Viejo.  He is 12 years old in this picture and is on a break from school.

This is one of the first months Oscar was studying with The Micah Project.  Here he gets a hug from Becca, one of our missionaries.

Oscar took time in December 2005 to visit his aunt and cousins on the northern coast.  Here he holds his cousin, Heydi.

Oscar poses with Edwin and Oscar's brother Hauner.  You can see the family resemblance between the two brothers.  Besides being a body guard, Oscar enjoys playing and repairing computers.

Oscar poses with some Indian statues with Maycol at a restaurant here in Tegucigalpa.  He has a lot of friends in the Micah Project and currently studies in the 10th grade.
