Oscar made the decision to get baptized in April of 2008 by Pastor Darren Quilley of the Union Christian Church. This was an important step in Oscar's spiritual journey! |

Oscar began to study with The Micah Project in February 2005 and became a part of the project in June 2005. Oscar grew up in La Ceiba, on the north coast of Honduras, where he lived in an orphanage for six years after his parents died when he was nine. When he was 15, he came to Tegucigalpa with two of his brothers to live with an aunt. Above: Oscar (front row, grey shirt) is pictured in the orphanage in which he grew up. |

Here Oscar is on the northern cost in a town called Rio Viejo. He is 12 years old in this picture and is on a break from school. |

Oscar took time in December 2005 to visit his aunt and cousins on the northern coast. Here he holds his cousin, Heydi. |
